Our Faculty
Bowdoin faculty members are highly respected scholars, performers, researchers, and artists—all of whom are deeply committed to the liberal arts and to teaching undergraduates.
They are passionate about their subject and their work with students, not only in their classes but also in their many one-on-one interactions with students: in laboratories, in independent studies and honors projects, in office hours, over lunch, and simply walking across the Quad. Bowdoin students have abundant opportunities to work alongside faculty on research or creative projects.
